Two bumbling idiots forget practically the only thing they need in their first drug deal; the cocaine. However, as the deal must go on as the terrifying Druglord is about to arrive any minute, they instead choose to use their bag of Triple Sifted and Self Raising Flour as a substitute for their lack of cocaine and an adequate IQ.
In a darkened room, next to the party a gun is lock and loaded, and ready to shoot Jo. In a stunning one-take, we follow Jo and her interactions throughout the night, knowing full well that at any moment, by anyone she could be killed.
Chance: Permutations & Combinations
Chance is a senior entry to the 2016 Choose Math Awards film competition. It stars Forest as Chow a young charismatic high roller decides to take the time to educate the 4th player on the difficult mathematical concept of Permutations and Combinations during a high-stakes poker tournament.
Using film as a medium and Science Fiction as the genre, Purgatory explores the intricacies and issues with identity. Purgatory follows the dysfunctional relationship between a father and son as the son attempts to unravel his father's secrets to uncover the contents of the mysterious door. However, the more he discovers, the more reality seemingly begins to deteriorate.
Emptiness is a short film aimed to raise awareness of the symptoms of depression. Using film as a medium Emptiness hopes to influence more people suffering from depression to seek appropriate help. The film goes through and explores the mindset along with the symptoms exhibited in an individual suffering from depression.
Past, Present and Future
A short made for the 2016 Reelise film festival, Past, Present and Future explores the evolution of bullying through a time of physical bullying in 1990 to the future in 2042 where the digital age has taken over.
K.N.H.S Graduation Video
As part of the graduating class of 2017, I created a Graduation Video that I shot, wrote and edited. It captures the essence, inside jokes and the memories exclusive to our year. It highlights my versatility because unlike the previous films, this is non-fiction and involves a pastiche of different mediums including music videos, interviews, documentaries and promotional videos. It has amassed a total of 17k views on Facebook.
Reflections of a Shattered Dream
A homage to Requiem for a Dream, Reflections of a Shattered Dream is a short student film exploring the negative effects of drug addiction. It is one of my better student films and because of this, concepts have even been carried over to Past, Present and Future.
A Touch of Rubbish
My first ever film, The Touch of Rubbish is a short produced for a Geography assignment. Instead of simply making a draw my life-esque video, I decided to go the extra mile, by creating a short film with a cohesive plot that satirising and experimenting with conventional film techniques and cliches.
